Time to get my yard spring ready!

Spring is officially here and it’s time to start getting my yard together! I’m no master gardener but I love to make my yard look good.  One of my favorite things to do is trim the hedges.  For years, I’ve just used hand hedge shears but they take a long time to get the job done and cutting thicker branches can be hard.  When I decided to invest in an electric hedge trimmer, I purchased a corded one.  Everything went great until it started jamming up here and there not to mention, I accidentally cut the cord one day.  Yea, I really did that smh lol. So, when I received the Ryobi 26” Cordless Hedge Trimmer from the Home Depot, I was so excited to give it a try!  It comes with a rechargeable 40V battery pack, rapid charger, and a blade cover for storage.

Sometimes cordless tools don’t feel like they have as much power, but this one delivers due to the brushless motor.   What I really love about Ryobi products in general is how you can use their battery packs in multiple cordless Ryobi tools.  This trimmer also has a rotating handle for cutting at all angles and it even has anti-jam technology.  It weighs about 9 lbs so it’s not super heavy, but it’s also not super light. Just think….not only are you making your bushes look great, you’re also getting in a workout using this! In my book, that’s a win! 🙂

Now, let’s see how a few of my bushes looked before I trimmed them.  The pictures below are of 1 big bush and 2 different types of rose bushes that haven’t been trimmed in about 2 years (no joke).  They all started to blend together :/

BEFORE PICS

Now check me out trimming these babies!

Let me tell you, using this trimmer was such a breeze y’all.  I love how the blade is 26” long too.  I love how I didn’t have to reach as far to trim certain areas which is really a plus.

And here is the final look. Trust me, they look even better in person!

As soon as the roses start blooming, this area will look even better! I also used the trimmer to trim a few other bushes in our yard.  Overall, I’m super pleased with how they look.  Much better than before!

If you’re ready to get your yard spring ready, head over to The Home Depot and pick up one of these. You won’t regret it!
