Now that the holiday season is officially upon us, its time to get those Christmas decorations up! But you don’t have to spend an arm & a leg on them. There are tons of DIY projects you can do for your home. Today, I’ll be sharing how easy it is to do glitzy candles! All you need is a few items.
Candles (I purchased mine from Ikea)
Hot Glue gun
Spray Glue (optional)
Use your foam brush to apply Mod Podge over candle and cover in glitter, confetti, etc.
Once candle is completely covered, sit to the side to dry. Seriously, thats it!
I decided to make a little bow and add (hot glue) it on the tallest candle for an added touch. But you are really free to be as creative as you’d like with this. Just remember, these candles are strictly for DECORATION ONLY. Don’t burn these candles….should you decide not to take heed to my warning, I’m not responsible for what may happen lol.
These candles can work great in a number of different areas. You can use them as centerpieces or for your fireplace mantle like I did.
Another thing you can do is buy cheap candle holders and spray paint them. I bought this one from the Dollar Tree.
Spray paint it in your color of choice and display your candles this way as well. I decided to go with red.
This past weekend I celebrated my 38th birthday. I bought a black dress to wear out to dinner with my husband but I wanted some earrings that made a statement. Since tassel earrings are really in now, I figured it would be easy to find what I was looking for but it wasn’t. So I…
As soon as we moved into our current home, I knew I wanted to give all the closets a makeover. So, we decided to tackle the twins closet first since they share a room and we need to maximize their space as much as possible. After coming up with the design (see below), I instantly knew I wanted…
Like most kids, mine have amassed tons of books. This is partly due to their grandma (my mom) who loves to send them books. And I also buy them books pretty regularly as well. I purchased a book rack awhile ago to hold some of their books in the family room but they ended up…
Back in March, we decided to pull the trigger on doing a kitchen renovation in our home…something I’ve been wanting to do since we moved in. Our original cherry wood cabinets were nice but I’ve been feenin’ for white cabinets for the past 5 years. Here is a pic of our original cabinets: Honestly, nothing…
Over the weekend we wanted to do a movie night but it was too late to get a stand from Amazon so we decided to do this quick project and make an outdoor movie screen ourselves. When I tell you this is the easiest project ever y’all, it really is! Here are the deets:…
With 3 kids now, I am on a journey to get my life as organized as I possibly can. That said, I’ve been on the hunt for a dry erase board of some sort to put up in the kitchen to jot down reminders, notes, etc. The past few weeks, I’ve been to about 4…
