DIY Holiday Candles

Now that the holiday season is officially upon us, its time to get those Christmas decorations up!  But you don’t have to spend an arm & a leg on them.  There are tons of DIY projects you can do for your home.  Today, I’ll be sharing how easy it is to do glitzy candles! All you need is a few items.

  • Candles (I purchased mine from Ikea)

  • Mod Podge

  • Glitter

  • Sequins

  • Foil confetti

  • Foam brush

  • Ribbon

  • Hot Glue gun

  • Spray Glue (optional)

Use your foam brush to apply Mod Podge over candle and cover in glitter, confetti, etc.

Once candle is completely covered, sit to the side to dry.  Seriously, thats it!

I decided to make a little bow and add (hot glue) it on the tallest candle for an added touch.  But you are really free to be as creative as you’d like with this.  Just remember, these candles are strictly for DECORATION ONLY. Don’t burn these candles….should you decide not to take heed to my warning, I’m not responsible for what may happen lol.

These candles can work great in a number of different areas. You can use them as centerpieces or for your fireplace mantle like I did.

Another thing you can do is buy cheap candle holders and spray paint them.  I bought this one from the Dollar Tree.

Spray paint it in your color of choice and display your candles this way as well.  I decided to go with red.

Happy Decorating!

xoxo
