What do you love most about your hustle(s) and how do you balance it all?
What I love most about my hustles is the personal satisfaction I get from helping people. Monday-Friday I am a Talent Acquisition Leader for a major Metropolitan City. I love being able to develop and lead strategic initiatives that will attract and acquire high quality talent. On the weekends, I am the owner of The Listening Tree; the only children’s bookstore specifically geared to children of color in metro Atlanta. It warms my heart to see young black boys and girls (all ages) come into our store and see books that look like them! The Listening Tree was created to perpetuate a love of literacy and learning in OUR global community.
Balancing my career, business and family life takes planning, organization, constant motivation and LOTS of prayer! Don’t get me wrong, there are times when I want to throw the towel in on EVERYTHING. But knowing that I have 3 “mini me’s” watching my every move, gives me the strength to keep going.
