If you are looking for a great mentoring program to help your 10-12 year old daughter learn and grow in life skills, confidence, and team building, then you may want to check out this Glamp Camp Weekend I help lead with KB Foundation in the Philadelphia area.

Why I do this
As a mother of 3 daughters, I believe it’s extremely important to give girls opportunities while they are young to build confidence and be exposed to different things that will shape them into future leaders. Girls who grow up believing that they do anything they set their minds to do. I became involved with the KB Foundation through my husband’s good friend & founder, Kirk Berry. Kirk has done an amazing job with this foundation which was originally created for boys. But I really appreciate him creating some programs for girls as well. This was the Glamp Camp’s 4th year and it was so amazing! And it gets better and better each year.

One Handy Girl Workshop
I created my One Handy Girl Workshop last year specifically for this class. The girls were able to learn how to use a drill and build a project they were proud of. They also got to decorate them and that’s always a fun time!

This year, the workshop was sponsored by Worx Tools. They provided all the tools we used which was such a blessing. Thank you to Worx for being a part of this.

I also have to give a special shout out to my Handy Chics partner & friend, Keisha. She helped me cut 200 pieces of wood to prepare for the workshop and also helped teach it with me. Here are the pictures from our awesome workshop!
