1. Top Notch Princess Dress Up Clothes and Tiaras
No princess themed birthday party is complete without princesses! In order to create the perfect fairytale party, I suggest making sure you have some extra princess dresses around in case some of your guests are “under dressed”. I mean, that is what any good princess would would share her dresses, right?
2. The Perfect Princess Photo Backdrop
You are going to want to get as many photos as possible of this princess party, so for ours, I made the perfect storybook backdrop! It creates the perfect Once Upon a Time feeling. You can purchase a banner on Amazon, but I went one step further and turned it into an actual storybook! If you want to see how I did it, I recommend reading How To Make A Once Upon A Time Storybook Backdrop {Tutorial}.
3. Disney Princess Playlist

What party is complete without some fun music. Really tap into the princess theme by playing a princess playlist. I suggest going on Spotify or Amazon Music and selecting “Disney Princess Songs”. I’m sure all the girls will love singing along!
4. Themed goodie bags
A great princess birthday party always includes great parting gifts. Think about what your little princess loves, and then create some goodie bags for all the princesses. Here are some of the fun goodies I used for our princess party:
- Glow in the Dark Bracelets
- Glow in the Dark Bouncy Balls
- Make a Face Stickers
- Mochi Squishy Toys
- Bubble Wands
- Twisty Straws
5. Princess Cake

No party is complete without cake and a princess themed party can really benefit from a bunch of dressed up princesses running around hyped up on sugar! You can order a princess cake at most grocery store bakeries, or you can make your own and just add a princess cake topper like a gold crown.
6. Fun Princess Crafts
You’re going to have to keep those princesses busy for a few hours, so I recommend a craft or two. Craft ideas for a princess birthday theme are things like decorating a princess wand or princess crown. You can also opt for coloring if that feels easier than letting little hands glue things!
7. The Best Princess Game
Princess birthday party ideas for games should be super easy and not take much to set up. Some of my favorites are Princess Bingo, pin the kiss on the frog, or just having a freeze-dance party (freeze like Elsa dance party) where you play princess music and then the princesses all have to freeze when the music stops!
8. The Perfect Princess Balloon Arch
I believe every party needs a balloon arch, whether it is for a 50 year old or a toddler! But this balloon arch is absolutely perfect for a princess themed birthday party. There were a few other princess balloon arches you could check out as well, but this one had the perfect colors for my little princess.
9. Glittery Princess Banners
To decorate the tables and walls, I used this glittery pennant banner. It is the perfect color for a princess party and it definitely takes the party decorations up a notch.
10. A Princess-Worthy Tablecloth:
I loved this tablecloth because it seemed like the perfect idea for a sophisticated princess party. The colors went with our theme and the gold brought a sense of “royal elegance” to the party!
11. Disney Princess Paper Plates
These Disney Princess plates are the perfect kid-friendly plates for a princess party. They feature several of the Disney Princesses, which I’m sure your princess and the guest princesses will love.
12. Disney Princess Snack Bowls
Since my daughter and her princess friends are quite young, I felt that these Disney Princess snack cups were a good idea to help contain the mess. I used them for pink yogurt covered princess pretzels.
A Magical Bonus Suggestion:
I know this post was supposed to be for 10 princess birthday party ideas, but I had to throw in this extra one because it is so genius! If you don’t have a bubble machine, then you need one! It is completely affordable and totally creates the whimsical fairytale ambiance that will take your storybook princess party right into the land of make-believe!
