Recently, I’ve really gotten into listening to podcasts. I mean I’ve always listened to Joyce Meyer, Rick Warren and TD Jakes podcasts but never really ventured outside of them. One day at work a few months ago, I decided to try to find some other types of podcasts to listen to and boy did I find a lot of good ones! So much so that I was kicking myself for being sooo late to the podcast party! One day, I happened to listen to The Going Scared Podcast with Jessica Honegger. She had a guest on by the name of Michelle McKinney. (Funny story: I actually thought the interview was with the author Michelle Hammond-McKinney at first but then realized it was someone different I was listening to lol) Buttt let me tell y’all, I now know that was all apart of God’s plan to introduce me to this awesome woman!
As I listened to Michelle talk about how she stepped out on faith and left her corporate job to launch her company, Dreams Unleashed, I was inspired. Inspired because she knew it was what God was calling her to do and she took action. Her passion to help women discover, define, and boldly live out their God-given dreams was evident on that podcast interview. And hearing her talk about that spoke to me so loudly because I had once done the same thing…stepped out on faith and pursued what I felt God wanted me to do in that season but for the past few years, I’ve felt in limbo and very unclear about what God wants for me next. Well, after our first conversation, I was convinced that she is doing EXACTLY what God has called her to do! Talking to her felt like a breath of fresh air, like talking to someone I’ve known for years. Not only was she warm and a great listener, what really resonated with me is that I could tell she understood everything I had been going through in trying to really get clarity on what God wants me to do next and my purpose. I immediately signed up for her Clarity Coaching sessions which included 2- 90 minute sessions and 1 mid-point check in.
During our coaching sessions, Michelle really helped me think about a lot of things differently. The exercises we did really stretched me and had me assess my gifts & passions to discover my sweet spot. We wrapped up our last session together a few weeks ago, and I can honestly say I am so glad I signed up to work with Michelle. I definitely gained clarity on the direction I believe God wants me to go.
So if you are unsure about your gift or purpose or need help figuring out something else (personally or professionally), Michelle is your girl! She will be your coach, cheerleader, reality-checker (without crushing your dreams), hype (wo)man, teacher, prayer warrior if you need it, and your get-you-out-of-your-comfort-zoner (I know thats not a word lol). Remember this a woman who’s not-so-secret mission is to create a world where women push past their fear into a realm of unshakable faith, stop playing small, and boldly declare who they are and what they were created to do. You can’t get much better than that! 🙂
