Being a working wife & mom of 4 while still making

Being a working wife & mom of 4 while still making time for myself to do things I love to do is a lot to juggle. And if I’m not careful it’s so easy to complain about mundane things like grocery shopping, cleaning or cooking dinner. So one of the things I’m constantly working on is shifting my perspective. I recently saw a post that said we should instead say …I get to go grocery shopping, I get to clean my house, I get to cook dinner for my family. It’s so important not to take all our blessings for granted🙏🏾. Do you find yourself complaining about these things?

Here’s the final reveal of the birthday gift I made for my superstar 🥰❤️…a mobile tv cabinet lift! When I tell y’all I was so excited to make this for my husband, I really was! He’s been talking about wanting to be able to watch football outside this fall but we didn’t really have a good spot to hang a 50 inch tv outside so this tv cabinet lift on wheels is the perfect solution! I basically made a box and then bought a the tv lift mechanism from Amazon.

I used @touchstonehomeproducts 30003 lift for this…LINK IN BIO. There are a few things I still need to do like cut out a panel in the back to get to the motor if we need to and give it a 4th coat of paint. I’ll also make a cover for it. And when it gets too cold, we’ll store it in basement.

This took me a few days (and nights lol) to complete. It cost about $700 to make (that includes cost of tv, wood, and the lift). And I can confidently say the smile on his face at the project and the fact that I made it for him made this by far his most favorite birthday gift from me ever!! He loves it!!❤️❤️

What do you get a man who’s not big on gifts for his birthday but loves acts of service? You do something for him or in my case …I decided to build something for my husband! If you followed my stories over the weekend, you saw that I tried to surprise my hubs by building him a tv cabinet lift. Of course he figured out what I was doing so the element of surprise is gone 🥴 but nevertheless he’s super excited about it and I’m gonna keep the final reveal a surprise! Here’s part 1. This is a pretty easy project since I’m literally just building a box. The star of the show is the @touchstonehomeproducts tv lift I got from Amazon. Stay tuned for the big reveal!

If someone asked me if I loved to cook all the time, I’d probably say no lol but there are times I do really enjoy it. Today was one of those times ❤️ as I cooked an impromptu pre birthday brunch to celebrate my husband! He’s so deserving of this & more. Do you enjoy cooking or is it just something you do out of necessity?

Honestly, I’m not a big fall decor/pumpkins everywhere type of girl. I’m also not ready to give up the summer but here we are …. officially approaching Fall so I figured I’d ‘fall’ in line and just accept it! So I put away my summer orchid arrangement and found these stems at @kirklands and @hobbylobby. And I was super inspired to start Fall-erizing (I know that’s not a real word lol) my home. And I must say, although I’ll prob tweak this arrangement a hundred times, I’m loving the fall vibes this is giving! 💛🧡Have you ‘Fall-erized’ your home yet?

Although I don’t like taking long flights, I do love how it gives me time to reflect. And as I was traveling yesterday, I was reminded that God’s purpose and plan for our lives far exceed what we can imagine. No matter how things look now, never forget He can change it for the better in a heartbeat. So if you are reading this right now, let that be your reminder too🙏🏾🙌🏾
